Description:
Create a multi-disciplinary performace with workshops encompassing the entire production process. The program can combine dance, art, music and drama. Through improvisation, dancers examine what it is like to be water and "wild things". With simple materials students create water wands, masks and scenery and with an extended residency, a short script and songs can be added. this is a fabulous opportunity not only to integrate arts with an author study but to translate ideas and images into exciting culminating event for school. Other Maurice Sendak Stories Include: One was Johnny, Pierre, Chicken Soup with Rice, and Really Rosie.
