Monumental Brass Quintet
Description:
This show teaches students how science and music are related. The quintet illuminates the scientific principles of frequency and pitch, volume and velocity in a highly interactive, fun musical format. They also demonstrate the relationship between rhythm as it occurs in music and rhythms in nature. With student volunteers, the musicians conduct several “experiments” to explore these topics.
