Project Youth ArtReach receives $30,000
Class Acts Arts was awarded $30,000 from the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) to support Project Youth ArtReach, which provides multidisciplinary residencies and performances by
professional artists to juvenile and adult offenders in correctional facilities
and probation programs in Maryland. "This second year of funding
from the NEA demonstrates the power of the arts for one of our nation’s most
vulnerable population,” says Class Acts Arts Executive Director Joan
Burns. "Last year we were able to provide more programs and expand
to a fifth site with the help of the NEA. We hope to do even more with
this increased level of support,” continues Project Youth ArtReach Director
