MD Traditions in the Schools

Did you know that some of our nation's very finest traditional artists make their homes in Montgomery County? This exciting new program celebrates community traditions and brings local "living treasures" to students in Montgomery County schools.

Launched by the Maryland State Arts Council's Maryland Traditions folklife program and Arts-in-Education program, in partnership with the National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA) and Class Acts Arts, this Maryland Traditions in the Schools pilot program features four Montgomery County master artists.
