What is the Bridge Fund?

Launched with support from a parent donor in 2008, the Bridge Fund will help to bring high-quality arts programming to under-served schools and children in our area each year, even in challenging economic times. Through the Bridge Fund we can all work together to provide that "last little bit" of funding sometimes needed to make art programs happen for children in schools, community centers, and libraries in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.

Help us meet our goal!

Last year Class Acts Arts provided an average of over 7 arts programs a day, including over 90 at needy local schools. Let's not lose these important arts programs!

With support from our network of dedicated arts advocates, Class Acts Arts aims to raise $5,000 to help bring arts programs to schools, libraries and community centers that meet need-based eligibility criteria. Often as little as $200 stands in the way of closing the enrichment gap for children who do not have the opportunity to experience music, dance, theater and the visual arts.

Schools
Bridge Fund eligibility for schools is determined by school FARMS (Free and Reduced-Price Meals) rates. Your school qualifies if its FARMS rate is above 40%.

After-School Programs/Libraries
Bridge Fund eligibility for after-school programs and libraries is determined by the level of poverty in the surrounding community based on the 2000 U.S. Census. Your after-school program or library qualifies if the Poverty Status of Families with Related Children Under 18 Years for your census tract is above the state average.
