Celebrated deaf performing artist Fred Michael Beam’s high-energy, interactive program, Come Sign with Me, introduces American Sign Language and Deaf Culture through imaginative gesture, vivid storytelling and physical theater. This energetic program builds bridges between deaf and hearing communities and is a joyous and uplifting celebration of the arts and communication. A gifted performer and educator, Fred Michael Beam is dedicated to the advancement of Black Deaf Awareness; he received training at the Folger Shakespeare Theater, Arena Stage, and Kennedy Center, and tours internationally with the Wild Zappers dance company.
