SchoolSculptures with Kevin Reese
Watch the creative process literally unfold as Sandy, a young artist, takes his 2-dimensional shapes "off the page" and achieves the show's spectacular conclusion - a mobile, 17 feet across, that suspends into the audience. A Perfect Balance, a play inspired by artist Alexander Calder, follows a young artist as he experiments with shape, color, painting, sculpture and movement. Kevin Reese and playwright Mary Hall Surface's creative works are respected internationally, including productions at the Kennedy Center, Smithsonian and festivals worldwide. Imagine a kinetic sculpture inside or outside your school! Kevin brings the Mobile Residency Project to you by working with up to 300 students for five days to create a permanent moving sculpture.
