Master storyteller Diane Macklin has an engaging, "dynamic" approach to delighting audiences of all ages. She artfully integrates her background in theatre and education with a "vibrant, moldable face," lyrical voice, and dancing hands. She embraces diverse cultures beyond the African and American traditions through audience participation.

"Diane's performance was wonderful...Each year she brings us new adventures and tales that the students talk about for days."

CAMERON ELEMENTARY

Diane has performed from Massachusetts to California for venues like Discovery Theatre, Cincinnati's Playhouse in the Park, FUNDA/Rhode Island Storytelling Festival, and Wolf Trap's Theatre-in-the-Woods. Her commitment to quality programming, education, and arts integration in residencies, professional development trainings, and workshops is strengthened by years as a formal classroom teacher. As a performer, teaching artist, and orator, Diane believes in "Making a Difference, One Story at a Time."

It's storytelling time! This dynamic, interactive program highlights great achievers with claws, paws, fins, feet or wings.

Celebrate the richness of African American culture, traditions, and folklore.

A story adventure through history!
